This Bible study is designed to help Christians develop a biblical understanding for the cause and purpose behind suffering. Most of our life in America will not be characterized by suffering. When suffering does occur our grieve and lament can challenge our understanding why a good and sovereign God allows these things to happen. The Christian life is caught up in a tension between our suffering and God’s goodness. Suffering is a challenge to our faith, but it is also an opportunity for our faith to grow.
