Pastor Banks and Abby joined the Tabernacle family in November 2011.  They brought with them energy and four boys, Adam, Noah, Jonah and Seth.  On Easter Sunday, 2015, Pastor and Adam arrived in Ethiopia for the last step in their adoption journey and were finally able to bring Anna home to her forever family. 

Pastor Banks grew up in a church planter's home in Eastern Canada.  A dual citizen from birth through his mother, John met Abby at BJU in South Carolina and they celebrated their 21st anniversary in 2020.  

In December 2020, he finished a Historical Theology ThM program with the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He is currently a PhD candidate (Free University of Amsterdam).

Pastor Banks has a desire to make the Word of God known in such a way that the glory of Christ may be clearly seen.

Jeremy and Kara have two children, Malachi and Lyla. Jeremy is involved in leading multiple aspects of discipleship, missions, and outreach ministries at the church while Kara helps with the worship team and children ministries.

Born in to a missionary family, Jeremy has lived in seven different countries and has visited over a dozen countries on five different continents!  He holds Masters of Science in Christian Counseling from Clarks Summit University and is completing a Doctorate of Ministry from Baptist Bible Seminary. Jeremy also serves part-time as a Christian Counselor and  Director of New Initiatives with Foundations Christian Counseling Services.

Jeremy  came to the Tabernacle in 2018 to assist in family ministry. He is our Sunday School Superintendent  and also an Elder.  Jeremy is currently taking the lead with developing local church discipleship program for the congregation and a residential mentorship program for young men aspiring to ministry. 

The church brought him on as associate pastor in the summer of 2021 growing to full time in 2023. Jeremy brings years of valuable ministry and counseling experience to TBC.

Robert joined TBC staff in September of 2022. He and his wife Jessie moved to Honesdale in October of 2021 and they had their first child Joseph on Dec 20th of 2022. 

Robert and Jessie served together on Encounter Revival Ministries before moving to Honesdale and attending Tabernacle. During a church business meeting  Robert felt called to serve and be trained for vocational ministry. He has a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management from Lancaster Bible College and is pursuing his Masters in Biblical Counseling through Anchor Christian University.
