  • John s. Banks, Senior Pastor

    Pastor Banks and Abby joined the Tabernacle family in November 2011.  They brought with them energy and four boys, Adam, Noah, Jonah and Seth.  On Easter Sunday, 2015, Pastor and Adam arrived in Ethiopia for the last step in their adoption journey and were finally able to bring Anna home to her forever family. 


    Pastor Banks grew up in a church planter's home in Eastern Canada.  A dual citizen from birth through his mother, John met Abby at BJU in South Carolina and will celebrate their 20th anniversary this year.  


    In 2002, Pastor Banks finished his MA in Bible at BJU and in 2009 he finished his M-Div from Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary in Landsale, PA.  He is currently in a Historical Theology ThM program with the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.


    Pastor Banks has a desire to make the Word of God known in such a way that the glory of Christ may be clearly seen.

  • Jeremy Yeckley, intern of family ministries

    Born in to a missionary family, Jeremy has lived in seven different countries and has visited over a dozen countries on five different continents!  He holds several Christian Counselling and biblical degrees and serves as the Regional Director of Foundations Christian Counseling Services.


    Jeremy  came to the Tabernacle in 2018 to assist in family ministry. He is our Sunday School Superintendent  and also an Elder.  Jeremy is currently taking the lead with a new curriculum for our Tabernacle Express (Junior Church) program. He will also be 'Conductor' for our new train theme Tabernacle Express  mid-week kid's club!   (Wednesday nights for children ages 4 yrs through 6th grade, starts SEPT. 18)  Jeremy brings years of valuable experience and wisdom to TBC.

  • Bonnie Mountjoy, Office manager/ Secretary

    Bonnie has served  for 25 years in our church office.  She is very creative and assists in many different programs and ministries in our church.  We are so thankful for all that Bonnie does.

  • Lorna Burns, Office Assistant/ Secretary

    Lorna joined our office staff in the spring of 2018 and has been a great asset.  She is warm and ready to assist wherever she is needed.  We are blessed to have Lorna come on staff.

  • Marilyn McDonough, Treasurer

    Marilyn has been on our staff as treasurer in excess of 3 years.  Marilyn is trustworthy and capable.  She also manages our Nursery Staff of volunteers.  We are very blessed to have Marilyn at the helm of both very important aspects of our church ministry.
